Help! My package is not moving due to “country level restrictions”
Passport is committed to helping our customers navigate changes to international shipping during this challenging and difficult time. We understand that lack of movement on your package must be frustrating. As a result of COVID-19, the United States Postal System has limited or suspended shipping to certain countries due to the following two reasons: lack of airlift into the destination country or suspension from the destination country’s postal system.
If that’s true, why am I still getting other packages?
These suspensions are on a country by country basis and also depend on the service level that your shipment is traveling to get to you. For example, shipments from China or the UK may still be delivering successfully to you - shipments cannot from the US through the Postal Service. For a detailed list of country restrictions by service level, please check out our service alerts page here: https://passportshipping.com/service-alerts
Service levels shipped are DDU (duties delivered unpaid) which travel through the Postal System and DDP (duties delivered paid), which travel through private and Postal Networks, allowing for a little bit more flexibility. These shipments are currently being held at Passport’s export facilities and will be shipped through to you as soon as these restrictions are lifted.
